I have the sensitivity turned to high, I have animal and motion options enabled, I also have zones set like tech support told me to use when I called them.
I set a 2nd camera up on the ground and it showed animals coming through numerous times all night long. Possums and raccoons. But my main camera, a wireless google nest camera, that overlooks this area, 8 to 10 feet away, only picked up the possum 1 time early in the night then never picked it up again, and never recorded the racoon.
Part of the reason I bought these google nest cameras was to see stuff day and night around my house, shouldent it be recording these events?
My wireless google nest cameras (bought this year) and my Samsung s23 galaxy are up to date.
When this post asked me to pick issue catahory I picked "getting started" although I'm not getting started, i started a while ago...I did not know what category to pick for this.

Hello, I'm an end user as well and I have the same intermittent issue. I have 2 cams in my back yard and sometimes they notify me of the stray cat and sometimes they don't. And sometimes only 1 camera alerts me. I have one close to the ground it does better than the one the is mounted higher up. But I have to say I also have 2 other brand of cameras and they both have the same issue. I don't think any of these companies have really nailed-it when it comes the algorithms that spot movement.

Hi folks,
Thanks for chiming in, @mdr2.
@Peep-eyE, uh-oh! I understand that you're experiencing issues with your Nest Camera not consistently capturing animals in its field of view, despite having the sensitivity set to high and the appropriate settings enabled. Here are a few suggestions to help improve the camera's performance:
Let us know how it goes.
