My new camera turns off after a few seconds so it isn’t possible to complete set up. I’ve reset it several times and tried various outlets but no luck. How can I get the camera to stay on long enough to complete set up?

Have you verified the charging cable is in correctly? When the battery cameras first came out I made the mistake of not aligning the brass points so the camera would do the same thing. Kinda silly to have a plug that easily plugs in both ways but only works one.

Thanks for your reply. The USD only fits in the plug one way so I tried the plug upside down. It is getting power to start up but doesn’t stay on long enough that the light turns blue for set up. So the setup process can’t even start.

I did a hard reset and it is now working. Sorry I can’t remember how to do the hard reset but basically I googled how to reset a nest cam and got a page with instructions.

Hopefully you can get it working. After the hard reset I had to set up a new home group and give it a new name.
