Camera offline two stories up (can’t access to reset)

I have a combo Nest Cam and Floodlight. It’s two stories up. It went offline and now when I run the wizard to find it - it never does. If I enter the code it says it can’t find it. The lights still work. It has power. Is there any way outside of finding a 2 story latter and unplugging it or hitting the reset button to reset the thing?

Hello @Rscimagery,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you are having issue with your Nest Cam. Unfortunately, you won't be able to perform many troubleshooting steps remotely as most of them require you to have access to the physical device.

If you are able to access the device, here are some troubleshooting steps.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Hi Rscimagery,

Checking in — have you tried the troubleshooting steps in the article that was shared by listairee? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need anything else.

I appreciate your help, listairee.

Thanks,

JT

I can’t troubleshoot if I can’t access the camera (as mentioned) so no I didn’t try what I cannot do 😉

Hey there,

Understood — I suggest contacting a personal technician or schedule a visit with a Nest Pro near your area.

Thanks,

JT
