Camera setup in google home

Hi. Trying to set up my new nest camera in the google home app. I get to the page that gives me the option to create a new nest network for my new device, but when i click create network it just says 'something went wrong, try again.

Anyone know what to do?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. Were your cameras previously connected to your Wi-Fi? Or is this a brand-new device, and a brand-new connection for this camera? I would definitely start with a factory reset as it is new anyway, it could help clear out whatever errors it may be experiencing.

Best regards,
Brad

Thank you for the reply.

I have managed to fix the issue by using my wife's Google account instead of mine. Don't know why it worked with hers and not mine. I actually made two new Google accounts but none of them worked. I read somewhere that it could be a problem if the account were a work account or something, but mine were private.

Unfortunately I don't have more devices to connect at the time to check if the problem is still there if i try to connect it with my account.

@Perraporre

That could check out. If you were trying to use a Gsuite account, or something similar, those accounts aren't allowed I'm afraid. Only a standard Gmail account can be used. Glad that this has been resolved for you, though! We'll keep this thread open for another 24 hours for follow-up questions and concerns.

Best regards,

Brad
