I’ve been experiencing this issue over the past month on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. The video will play recordings initially, then freezes. If I exit from the app and try again, sometimes it helps but often I get the same result.
I have tried to uninstall the app and reinstall - but still have the same issue. Also no other Wi-Fi or general internet issues. There must be a bug because this issue is new and nothing has changed on my end. I also see that many others have reported this in the community yet no one has addressed it that I have seen.
Please tell us what can be done to address this very problematic problem!

Myself and others on this forum have experienced the same on iOS. It seems to be a problem with one of the more recent Nest app updates.

I also had a feeling it might have been due to an update. I work in software and usually a sudden issue that many experience is due to this. It would sure be nice if the Community Manager would address with a response.

I am still having issues since the last app update. Scrubbing videos causing frequent freezes, opening and clicking on notifications opens the app and takes you to the event but the video is frozen all of the time. Frequent buffering that never stops until you close and re start the app.
ios 15.4.1 iphone 12
Nest app version 5.68.0.11
Over 500 mbps wifi with Xfinity Hub & pods and sll cams (4) have a great signal available. Issues occur whether I use wifi or cellular on phone.

It is not fixed. Scrubbing history freezes app constantly. Happens on all my Apple products. I have re-downloaded the Nest App. I have downloaded your most recent update (which is when mine started to act up). Need it fixed post-haste!!

I’ve been trying to get a message to Google Nest and customer service on this issue has been non-existent. Very frustrating. Everything was working just fine on all my Apple products until this most recent update. History freezes.

Same with ours. I have sent (at their request) a video clip showing ours doing this 3 days ago. Have not heard back.
I also believe it started after the latest update. I tried to find out what version the firmware is, but cannot find the information.

I’ve been having the same issues the last couple weeks. All updates fir app and ios are current.Sometimes the cam feed will not load and when it does you are unable to scrub through the video to an event without the app freezing. Everything works fine on desktop and my internet speed is over 500 mbps with no other apps having issues. It would be nice if someone at Google Nest could enlighten the many people having this issue. And yes I’ve done all of the usual trouble shooting suggested in previous replies to others.

It started after they made the preview videos (list) in worse quality. The new guys in the team is doing a terrible job.

Same issue. Paying for Nest Aware, but cannot access video history as it constantly freezes. Would like a valid fix. I have uninstalled and reinstalled app (IOS 15.4.1 on Ipad Pro). Also have this issue with Android on phone. With both iPad and phone…still having this issue and it is constant!

I am thinking they should be discounting or even not charging during the time it is not working properly.
Also, I do not understand why they close a discussion thread prior to there being a solution to the problem.

Same problem here. Latest update screwed it up. Seems to be like deliberate attempt to kick Legacy Nest users to the curb. Thanks Google. 🙄

Same issues on my iPad after the most recent app update. My iPhone 10 works a little better, but history still hangs up when it never did it before the app update. Frustrating.
