Hi, I have a wired Google 2nd gen indoor camera. My Wi-Fi router was just replaced and of course the camera went off-line. I removed the camera from the Google Home app, and attempted to create a new entry for it. The problem is, it will not go into pairing mode. When I cycle the power, the light on the camera goes immediately from white to green. It never displays a blue pairing light. The camera does not have a reset button, and I do not know any other way to do a factory reset. I tried pairing it using the QR code, and I removed the base and tried to use the six digit set up code underneath. Both of those methods fail because the camera is not in setup mode. Is there a trick to force this camera to go into setup mode?

The 2nd gen Google Nest Indoor Camera DOES have a reset button. It’s between the power cord and the camera neck. See these instructions:

The camera has to be connected to Wi-Fi in order to remove it from the Google Home app and trigger a factory reset as part of that removal process. But you should still be able to do a manual factory reset.

There seems to be a troubling catch-22 in the factory reset process. Reading from the instruction on the help page, it states “ your camera needs to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to be removed from the app and factory reset“.
Obviously, since the Wi-Fi changed, it is not connected to Wi-Fi.
Is there a way to get around this problem?

I’ll be darned. The way the camera head was positioned it completely obscured the view of the hole. Thank you so much!
