In the Google home app under devices the floodlight icon is not there, Everytime I look at the camera from the app the floodlights do not come on.
The camera is mains wired, I have restarted several times and made no difference.
if I need to do a factory reset I don’t have the QR code. I have been up on the ladders today and I can’t see any code either.
QR code or code is required for reset ?

The QR code was on a sticker on the face of the camera, but you can select "Continue without scanning" and enter the 6-character alphanumeric setup code on the bottom of your camera. You'll have to unscrew the power cable to be able to see it, as the size is exaggerated in the video:

I have been having the same problem. The floodlight is working and installed but it keeps coming up as a normal camera in the home app.
I updated the home app, I have done the camera hard reset, removed the camera from the home app reinstalled it, the floodlight still works as it will come on at night with motion/notifications. Very weird situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated

So I did some tinkering and I got it to show up. I think the camera needs to be removed from the floodlight base altogether. Hopefully it works for you this way as well.
1. I disconnected the camera from the magnetic power cord from the floodlight base, while the camera was connected to the app. It will show the camera disconnected from the floodlight base when you click on your selected camera in the app.
2. I then removed the camera from the home app, and reconnected on the app.
3. Once it had come up with the setup/install instructions I then connected the magnetic power cord from the floodlight base to the camera.
4. continued with the install/setup and it popped back up in the Home App with the flood light sitting next to it.

I have reset the camera and it’s made no difference. Still can’t see the floodlight in the app and yes I selected floodlight camera on set up.
The camera is definitely faulty because it shows as plugged in (battery) then after so many days the battery drains and then dies. I shut down the power supply, then after 30mins it then recovers and shows as plugged in.
