Hello, I have a problem this neighbor i have has vandalized my property before and hes been real trouble to deal with i have nest cam setup and finally caught him littering my yard with his garbage however the problem came after this. Once he saw i had cams he tested the range at night kinda creepy but to add to this he tested various lights on them during the day and night then late april it happened he shined some white light causing the camera not to pick anyone up it recorded a person no one was in the video but my neighbor was standing there outside then every morning after around 6am he would go outside to do this to my cams i caught him once and he just ignored me and went back inside his home while my cams are now unable to record him in any videos they now just show up as person event but nobody is in the video ive no idea how he did this but my cams still record normally except when hes up to no good and now hes back to his nasty habits.
Ive reset the cams they recorded him again but then he does that light flash and they dont record him there have been times when the video timestamps were mixed up as well or timestamps that were there then gone.
Ive gone to the police but they seemed like its not there problem idk if it is or isnt but this guy is crazy x.x. any help or advice would be great ive suspected he hacked my router but idk im not a tech guy ive reset that too and chnged all my passwords.

Hi Arctander,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I apologize for the problem you have with your Nest Camera not recording properly; I will do my best to assist you right now.
I recommend using advanced features to pick out different kinds of activity. This makes the alerts that you receive on your phone, tablet, or email even more helpful.
You can refer to this article, How Nest Cameras Detect Sound and Motion, to configure the advanced features on your Nest Cam Floodlights.
Also, for the features you need, I recommend getting a Nest Cam with floodlight (wired) so that the floodlights will activate upon detecting motion and recognize the offending individual.
Regards,
Gabriela
