I installed google home, tried to set up outdoor battery cam…. i go get through the setup until the very end on on iPhone and it stops and says it is taking longer then expected. Not sure why i can’t complete the process.

I have the same issue on my iphone. This is with a new Nest Cam (indoor, wired). I spend time setting it up, the camera even beeps at me, it says "set up complete" then "something went wrong. taking longer than expected". At the same time I installed the two older generation Nest Cams with no issues. So frustrating! 😫

Same here with the Nest Doorbell Battery, exactly the same error. Wondering if there's something's wrong with Google Cloud?

Also I need to emphasize that this is especially frustrating, the cherry on top, considering I had no idea the new cameras don’t work with the Nest app. I will probably be returning it.

I was told by customer service to use an android phone. Can i borrow someones android. I dont have an extra phone just laying around

OK, that's just a dumb suggestion by Google. 🙄
If that is their approach to solving my problem I will return the Nest Cams for refunds.

Just here to say "me too" with a outdoor battery camera, trying to setup on an iphone. Same exact error (at same exact step). I have a "home" with lots of devices over the past year, all setup fine first try.
Delivered today (Dec 15, '21) - I'll return this camera if they can't fix it.
