How do I add new 2021 Nest Camera to Alexa? Note: ... - Google Nest Community
Basically, the Nest App doesn't allow me to add new Google Nest Camera, prompting me to use Google Home instead. I end up having my thermostat and doorbell in the Nest App, and the camera in Google Home App.
When I add devices to Alexa, it only has a 'Google Nest' skill, which only discovers devices in the Nest App, NOT the camera added in the Google Home App.

Hi again,
I agree it's confusing, I myself own 1 x 1st Gen and 2 x 2nd Gen indoor wired cameras and I much prefer using the original Nest app to the Google Home app for monitoring. If you have switched to the latest version of the Google Nest aware subscription then you can have as many camera's as you wish of either generation within the one subscription.
As this is a community forum mainly supported by other users and community specialists then the best way to leave feedback (have a grumble) that actually gets through to the people that can make changes is by using the Google Home app.

Google have said that they plan on making changes to the Google Home app during this year that will bring a lot more features that are available in the Nest app and also making the cameras available from a web browser. Hopefully when this happens it could make Alexa integration possible.
Edit: A Nest Aware subscription should work for both the Google Home and Nest app if you have migrated from a Nest account to a Google account and updated your subscription to the latest version.

Hi hww,
Google have stated that the new Nest camera's have been built to work exclusively with the Google Home app. Hopefully Google, Amazon or a third party developer can create a skill / action that makes them work with Alexa but there isn't one available currently.

Hi Cathal, this termnology of gen 1, gen 2, indoor, outdoor and battery/wired is really confusing. I purchased 2 Nest Cams (indoor or outdoor, battery) hoping it could just aligns with my pre-installed Nest doorbell camera, and hoping just to have one online service subscription for all my cameras. Now it turns out Google decided to let their new cameras work only with Google's App, not with any other App or Smart home hub service, at same time hoping users would buy the Nest Aware subscription, which ironnically doesn't work with Nest App. Given this awkward design, Google or Nest really should't brand as compatible with Alexa. Control Nest products with Amazon Alexa - Google Nest Help It confuses user and waste people's time. I would have just returned both the cameras I purchased if I didn't screw them on the wall.
Sorry for the grumble.

I hate to be the vinegar in the group but we all know this will not happen. Google wants all users to exclusively use their app. If you notice they have been heavily integrating their chrome TV which competes with the fire TV. They want everyone to use the Google products which is why they canceled the program works with Nest. Their biggest priority right now is having the Home Hobbs wish everyone a happy birthday and to be able to make chrome TV work better. They could care less about the nest products they purchased, which includes the security and the nest cameras. Sad but true
