Can't change WiFi with Nest Hello Doorbell

Hello - We are trying to reset our nest hello doorbell after changing internet provider. It has been frustrating and we initially encountered the NC009 error message on repeated attempts to set it up. We tried to remove the Home and start again. We tried factory resetting but receive the message saying "This Nest Doorbell (wired) is connected to another account.". How do we reset it completely, removing our accounts and then set it up as new with our new WiFi network?

Hi JohnJ21,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Doorbell (wired) isn't connecting to your new WiFi network. It's sounds frustrating to go from an NC009 error to "This Nest Doorbell (wired) is connected to another account," especially after all the troubleshooting you've already done. I understand this isn't the experience you expected after changing your WiFi. No worries! Help is here.

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • What color is the LED status light on your Nest Doorbell (wired)?
  • Have you already removed the Nest Doorbell (wired) from your account?
  • Just to confirm, did you follow these steps to factory reset your Nest Doorbell (wired)? Please take a look at this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.
