Can't connect Google wired doorbell to my wife's iPhone

I've installed a Google wired doorbell and it is working on my Android phone and on our google home devices, but I can't get it to link to my wife's iPhone. When I do, it asks to see the QR code and tries to do an installation. It's already installed, I just want her to be able to see it in the google home on her phone

@Rbretz

Go to Settings | Household in the Google Home app and invite your wife to be a member of your "household".  She'll need a gmail account.

Thanks for the suggestion MlpsCustomer...she has been a member of the "household" all along, we deleted that and I invited her again. That didn't do it. She has access and can control switches, plugs, our thermostat and even our robot vacuum...just not the doorbell. (Oh, and she can control me, but don't let her know that)

Hi everyone,

@Rbretz thanks for reaching out and for sharing with us what you've done. To confirm, have you checked if she's on the home structure where your Nest Doorbell is added? Are you using the Nest app or Google Home app? Are both of your accounts migrated to Google?

Keep us posted here.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Emerson

Indeed, my wife has the Google Home App on her iPhone and she is able to interact with plugs, speakers and switches and the thermostat which are controlled by our Google Home setup. For some reason, however, she is unable to see, hear or otherwise interact with the Google doorbell which we installed.

Hi Rbretz,

Understood — could you check if your doorbell is paired in the same home structure where the rest of your devices (plugs, speakers, switches and thermostat) are connected to?

I appreciate the help here, MplsCustomer and Emerson.

Thanks,

JT

FINALLY...we deleted the Google Home App from her phone, I deleted her from management of our home, then reinvited her via email and she loaded the Google Home app again and it worked. Thanks for reminding me to look into this.
