Can’t connect nest hello. Error CN017

I am getting an error NC017(3.3) when I try to setup my doorbell.  I have nest thermostats and two of the new nest snow cameras on my network without any issues. But when I try to add my doorbell it fails.  I am using the same network, I have tried rebooting my iPhone and the doorbell as well but it gets hung up on this step. 

I have updated the app, reset the router, rebooted the doorbell, rebooted the iPhone, tried on another iPhone. Nothing helps

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about your Nest Hello.

 

We want to make sure that all sides are covered.

 

NC017 code means that the Nest App had trouble connecting to your Nest Hello. Check the additional steps below:

  1. Quit the Nest App.
  2. Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth and WiFi is turned on, and that it’s connected to the same WiFi network you want to use for your Nest Hello.
  3. Try setting up your Nest Hello again on your phone or tablet.
  4. If you’re still seeing the code, and you’re using the Nest App on a phone or tablet, try rebooting your device.
  5. Try to connect using a mobile hotspot.
