Can't download video outside of detected event clips?

Sounds like there's _still_ no way to download video outside of detected events (aside from this workaround)? (This is even when the camera is plugged in.)

> You can only download video clips from detected events in the video history. You can't download video clips from footage with no activity.

Is this ever going to be supported? If I can't save any video that my camera records, what good is it? Especially when clips often start/end too late/early. Please tell me this is on the roadmap...
