Hello,I bought a Google Nest Doorbell with battery, I'm currently trying to add it to my Home but i only get to the point where i need to accept the additional Terms for Nest, but when pressing Accept, i always get a timeout with "deadline exceeded after 29.99s. Name resolution delay 0.00 seconds..."
I mean, i bought this doorbell because it has some nice features, but not being able to even set it up for 200€ is a bit ridicilous. I already tried to fix this with some guy from google support chat, but i got nothing but just standart answears about stuff that doenst make sense.
I really need to say that I'm pissed about this, 200€ for a block of device that i can't use and the support is almost a joke

On question that comes to mind is did you purchase the camera in the country you are attempting in install it? The reason I ask if you buy a camera in one country then Google will often not let it work in another country because the laws are different.
Nest question that comes to mind is are you sure you are running the most up to date version of the Google Home app?
The only other thing I can think of as a trouble shooting step is try to install it using a different phone maybe from another family member or friend. After it is installed it should work on your phone.
Hope this helps.

I just thought of something else. It sounds like you have had Nest cameras for a number of years and are you still using what they call the NEST account to log in? If so I think the problem might be that Google is going to require you to migrate your NEST account to a Google account before it will add the new camera. I'm not sure but this cold be the problem.

Shouldn't Google Nest tell us that a Google Account is now required, if indeed that is the case? (I haven't heard anything about that.) And shouldn't the error message just say that?

I could be wrong on this. I was reading some other post and they implied that was the problem. Click this link and scroll down to the reply from Lance_L
