Hi HLVineyard,

Thank you for the update and for providing these details. It's completely understandable that you feel this way since you couldn't get in touch with our support team, and I appreciate all the efforts you've made to contact Google support. It's concerning that you're getting these error messages on one Nest Cam with Floodlight while the other is working as expected.

To isolate the issue, please follow these steps:

  • Restart your device: This keeps all your settings and can solve some glitches. Refer to this article: Restart your Nest Cam with Floodlight.
  • Physical inspection: Ensure the power cable and adapter are securely connected to both the camera and the floodlight.
  • Confirm the connection at the camera: Unplug the camera from its magnetic mount and re-attach it firmly. Ensure it's seated correctly and the connection is clean and free of debris.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Melany

Hi HLVineyard,

Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you’re unable to access the Nest Cam with Floodlight settings. I know how inconvenient it is that you haven't found a clear solution. No worries, I'm here to help!

To better assist you with accurate information, I’d like to ask a few questions:

  • When did the behavior start?
  • Did anything change around the time the issue began (e.g., a software update for the app or your phone, a power outage, etc.)?
  • Is the camera showing as online and connected in the Google Home app?
  • Is the Google Home app up to date?

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Melany

Hi Melany,

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes this is very frustrating,  even more so that I can't call anyone within customer service.  All the numbers that I find online and call, are no longer in service!.  I purchased two of the same camers to put in two different locations around my home. The first outside floodlight hard wired camera works perfect, no issues! The second camera with floodlight,  hardwired is the problem child! Nothing has changed or happened since I installed both cameras. The problem child camera doesn't show the floodlight option anywhere in settings. It also shows a low battery power number within the settings on that camera. Reminder, this camera is hardwired.  This camera also gives an error pop up saying, low power connection.  Check for dirt or moisture on the magnet. Please see attached screen shot of this cameras setting option showing no floodlight and the battery power notification.  Thank you and please advise
