Cannot connect Google Nest Hello Wired Doorbell (Gen1) to Google Home via iPhone

I have a Gen 1 Google Nest Wired Doorbell (Nest Hello), I got around christmas but recently set it up. The Nest app on my iPhone is where I setup the doorbell and works well through the app. I dont have a doorbell chime in the house, so I bought a Gen 2 Google Nest Hub (the small one) to act as my door chime. I could set it up no problem in my Google Home app no problem too.

The Nest app got me to sign up via "Sign-In with Google" so no password necessary. However, when I try to add my Google Nest Hello to my Google Home -> Setup A Device -> Works With Google, then select "Nest" from the list. Once selected, a browser opens, obviously Chrome, and takes you to the landing page for a premigrated account with a username/email and password, instead of the "Sign-In with Google" page. Investigating on Chrome and Safari, that "Sign-In with Google" page is a different URL and can also be verified via a desktop browser.

Some ding-dong has the old link for the page with an email and password hardcoded into the Google Home "Works With Google"  Nest selection. Community Advisor please communicate that the "Sign-In With Google" page is unreachage via this process, at least on iOS, and MUST BE UPDATED ASAP!!!

That video makes no sense to me whatsoever.  We've never needed to use the "Works with Google" option.

We have 3 Google Nest Hello Doorbells. The first was installed in the spring of 2019. All 3 were installed in the Google Nest app. They all appeared AUTOMATICALLY in the Google Home app, which we log into with the same Google (gmail) account as we log into the Google Nest app.  And ALL of our Nest Hellos appear on ALL of our Nest Hubs (which were installed in the Google Home app). We have NEVER used the "Works with Google" option for anything; my understanding is that it is for NON-Google devices that work with Google.

If you are signing into the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google (gmail) account) and are seeing the exact same Google Nest "home/structure" near the top of the initial screen in both apps, then all of the Google Nest devices (except Nest Protects) that are installed in the Google Nest app should ALSO appear in the Google Home app, and all of the Google Nest cameras and doorbells installed in the Google Nest app should be accessible from all of your Nest Hubs.  (You just can't administer or set up notifications for these cameras and doorbells in the Google Home app.)  Note that the Google Nest "home/structure" must be spelled and capitalized exactly the same in both apps; some user have had a problem with one being capitalized and the other not.

To get "Visitor announcements" on your Nest Hub,  you have to turn on "Visitor announcements" in the Settings for your Nest Hello.

Our old Google Nest cameras and doorbells are installed in the Google Nest app and appear AUTOMATICALLY in the Google Home app if you log into both apps with the same Google (gmail) account and access the same Google Nest "home/structure".

The "Works with Google" option in the Google Home app is for NON-Google devices that work with Google.

Our Nest Hellos were installed in the Google Nest app but appear in the Google Home app, and we get visitor announcements on our Nest Hubs.

Hi, your description doesn't appear to be the case..

this video is a more accurate reflection of what I see, my display is in Google Home, I try adding my Nest Hello device through "Works with Google" and once I click the "Nest" selection, I get taken to the old email and password Nest login page..

I can try deleting my Nest Hub from Google Home and try again, but currently nothing happens when I press my doorbell (besides the Nest app notification on my iPhone) and the Nest Hello is not in my Google Home as it shows in the video after he agrees to the terms of the User Agreement, I have never seen that agreement page.

@MplsCustomer This worked. Thank you.

I had initially setup the Google Home on another account but switched over to the same account as the Nest. But it was unclear if the Nest Hub was using the new account as it still appear on the old account and the new account. So I deleted the Home on the old account to be safe.

Then I had to assign a room to the doorbell in the Nest app before it appeared in the Google Home app..

Lastly, yes, I had to find the "Visitor annoucements" and turn it on to have the Nest Hub do anything when the doorbell is pressed.
