I recently added the new Google wifi Pro and created a new network name(which I should not have done). I connected my speakers and hub without issue but when it came to my doorbell cam 2nd gen(using battery currently) and my nest outdoor camera neither would connect after several attempts. I ended up doing a factory reset and removed the devices from the home app. Still unable to find the device. I even connected my old router and went back to the original network name and password and carried that back to the wifi pro. I still cannot get the doorbell & camera to even be found. I have tried doing this through my android and my PC. Anyone have suggestions? I have tried setting it up as the only device prior to connecting my other devices as well
Thank you.

Google Nest's process, when changing Wi-Fi, not clearly spelled out, calls for removing the Google Nest device from the Google Nest app or Google Home app while still on the old Wi-Fi network, THEN doing a factory reset, and then reinstalling while on the new Wi-Fi network.

Thanks for the reply. I had deleted the devices from the apps. I even did the factory reset. When that did not work I went back and changed my network back to my old router to see if the devices could be found that way and nothing. So I went back on the wifi pro and went with my original network name and password in an attempt to see if the devices would connect that way. The only positive is I have two cameras that are fully charged now lol.

So, to be clear, if you are on your original network, you cannot re-add your devices in the Google Nest app or the Google Home app?

That is correct. It's like they have no capability of connecting through wifi. Tried using my wife's android phone as well

Hi folks,
I’m sorry for the trouble here. Let’s sort this out — a few questions: what’s the status light of your doorbell? How far is the doorbell from the router? What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)? Also, are there other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi where you’re trying to pair your doorbell to?
Give these steps a try:
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Thanks,
JT
