so i have an older wired nest camera and i have had it for about a year. it used to work with my nest app and now it won’t. i know i saved the QR code but i cannot find it. I am able to connect it to the google home app but i want to be able to purchase a subscription to have more history recorded…whenever i attempt to connect it to the nest app manually, it gets stuck on the “choose the last 4 digits of your camera’s serial number.” I have reset the camera at least 2 times…how can i either 1) fix the issue and connect to nest or 2) bypass that and get the subscription without the nest app? (please help!!)

What camera do you really have? The cameras and doorbells that Google Nest has released starting in Sept. 2021 get installed in the Google Home app and cannot be installed in the Google Nest app.
If you have one of the older Google Nest cameras that are installed in the Google Nest app, it would be quite odd if you could see it in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app, as long as you are logging onto the Google Nest app (using "Sign on with Google") and the Google Home app with the same Google Account.
If you have one of the newer cameras that is only installed in the Google Home app, you cannot install it in the Google Nest app; if you can see it in the Google Home app and you want to purchase a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription so that you can record video history, see this Help topic:

Note that you can also install a Google Nest camera by selecting "Continue without scanning" during the install process and entering the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code that is printed on the back or bottom of the camera.

Hello everyone,
@amm322, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Aside from what they've mentioned, if you've already installed your Nest Cameras from your Nest app you don't need to install it separately to the Google Home app. You'll be able to see the same Nest Camera to your Google Home app as long as you're signed to your same email address. Old Nest Cameras can be controlled remotely to the Google Home app but new Nest Cameras can't be controlled to the Nest app.
I appreciate the help, jhondika and MplsCustomer.
Best,
Emerson
