“Cannot connect to cloud” error when setting up new nest camera

Can’t complete setup, because when I go to the step to agree to best terms it says “cannot connect to cloud” and I cannot progress any further.

I am afraid that Google G Suite accounts, or business subscriptions are not valid accounts. Only a standard Gmail account is accepted.

Best regards,

Brad.

Internet connection is fine.  Frustrating as I cannot finish setup! 😞

Turns out it was because I was using a Google for business account.  When I used a personal Gmail account it worked.  Frustrating though as half my Google devices are accross 2 accounts now.

Hi Brad, I've solved the issue by setting up my Nest camera through an old personal gmail account, so now my camera and Google WIFI are on two seperate accounts which isn't really ideal.  I'd prefer everything to be associated with 1 google account (which happens to have a google business subscription).  If you can share how to solve that then this would be great and likely help other people facing the same situation.

Thanks!

Hey Brad, while there are no doubtedly reasons for this, it creates a pretty cryptic and frustrating experience for new customers.  At least if the error message received gave some sort of reason it would help.  Anyway hopefully this thread will help someone else.

Same problem here. Seems like a Google Home app's bug.
