Cannot readd Nest camera A0005 bsck to network.

I recently added XFinity xFi extenders to my local network, and two of my cameras stopped working.  I found that to change the wifi settings on a configured camera, one must delete it and re-add it, so I removed the camera from the Google Home app, and tried to readd it.  I told me I needed to use the Nest app instead.  Fair enough, that how's its always worked.

Unfortunatey, the Nest app won't connect to it either.  It reads the QR code, tells me to have my WiFi password handy, and then spins for a bit, and says "Something went wrong".

I'd love to not have to replace this camera, as it was working just fine prior to my changing my WiFi.  Is there anything that I can do?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, Google Nest does not make it easy to update your Wi-Fi.

For the 1st gen cameras installed in the Google Nest app, you can:

A) Set the network name (SSID) and password on your new router/modem (or extenders) to the same values used on your old router/modem. (That's what we did a couple of years ago when we updated our Xfinity router/modem, and we didn't have to update any of our Google Nest devices.

B) In the Google Nest app, see if you can go to Settings | Home info | Home Wi-Fi help, select the camera you want to update, and select Start | Update settings.  (You may not be able to do this if you've removed your cameras.)

C) Remove the camera from the Google Nest app while still on your old Wi-Fi network, which should also factory reset your camera.

It's also possible that there is something about your new extenders that is creating the issue you're encountering. Perhaps this troubleshooting Help topic will help:
