My camera and app was recently updated and I am looking for history from 2:45 pm today but it only starts at 3:30. The camera was fully charged and mounted from 9 am. Why did it start recording at 3:30 and how can I see the footage I am looking for?? Seriously what is the point of having this camera if it doesn’t work.

Obviously yes I am annoyed because these cameras have been nothing but a headache and I now have several of them. Mainly I want to know how I can see my footage that is missing. It’s only about 40 minutes prior to the last recorded event.

Your video history depends on whether you have a Nest Aware subscription, the specific camera or doorbell, and what kind of subscription you have.
Without a subscription, 2nd gen cameras and doorbells (those released starting in Sept. 2021) provide event video history for the most recent 3 hours, and 1st gen cameras and doorbells provide snapshots of events for the most recent 3 hours.

Hi everyone,
@LF2, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Before your camera can detect activity, it first needs to figure out what everything in the scene looks like when there's no activity. That way, it can tell when something in the scene changes, like when someone walks into its view. Also, what was shared by MplsCustomer is right on the spot. You may hit the link and check the information. We hope that will shed some light on your concern.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson
