Changed my dropcam for nest cam now video record doesn’t work

My video history is just still pics. I just changed out my drop cam for the nest cam

Do you have a Nest Aware subscription? You should be able to check your subscription on this page:

https://store.google.com/subscriptions

If your subscription is or was a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, which applies to specific cameras, that subscription is no longer available. The newer (since 2020) Nest Aware and Nest Aware Plus subscriptions apply to all 1st gen and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

Hello everyone,

 

@Wicke4, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. For newer cameras like Nest Cam (battery) or Nest Doorbell (battery), you can get up to 3 hours of event video history without a subscription. But for most older Nest Camera and Nest Doorbell models, you need a Nest Aware subscription to get event video history or 24/7 video history. This means that without a subscription, you can get photo snapshots of detected activity for up to 3 hours in the past.
