I have had 30 + E mails and numerous phone calls with Google/Nest and they expect me to buy 2 new cameras because they cannot fix the issue of reconnecting the 2 outdoor cameras after a change of WIFI. The indoor cameras, thermostats, smoke alarms connected fine. The outdoor cameras were working fine before WIFI change.
What a hopeless company. They will not admit they have a problem with connectivity.
I wouldn't recommend Google Nest to anyone

Did Google Nest Support have you try the 48-hour procedure described below?
If the factory reset does not help, on some other posts in this forum, Google Nest Community Specialists have recommended unplugging the camera for a full 48 hours and following this process on this post. I don't know whether this process actually works:
1. Unplug the camera(s).
2. Wait at least 48 hours (2 days).
3. Before the pairing process, change the Wi-Fi network SSID.
4. Important: These steps disconnect any devices that are currently connected to the Wi-Fi network.
5. Plug the cameras back into a power outlet and connect them to the account using the new Wi-Fi network SSID.
6. Once they're paired, change the Wi-Fi network SSID back to the original SSID.

I haven’t tried this as it means changing all the thermostats, smoke alarms, indoor cameras and Sky Q, and printers.
Maybe I might try if get nowhere.
It just seems ridiculous how difficult it all is.

Yes, this process suggested by some Google Nest Community Specialists does seem ridiculous. But it does NOT mean changing all your thermostats, cameras, Sky Q, and printers. It just means they would all be offline for awhile during the time that your network's SSID is changed to something else temporarily.
We have NOT had to try this process, and I don't know why the process asks the customer to temporarily change their network SSID to something else.
I also don't know what unplugging the cameras for at least 48 hours actually does. Maybe it causes the cameras to "forget" their Wi-Fi settings. But if that's the case, I don't know why you ALSO need to temporarily change your network's SSID. Maybe just unplugging the cameras for a few days would be enough.
To the best of my knowledge, Google Nest has never disclosed why its cameras sometimes fail to reinstall, and they've never posted anything like this on the Google Nest Help website as an official workaround.

Hello everyone,
@Robdoc, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going? Were you able to perform the steps that MplsCustomer has shared above? To know more about this issue, I'd like to confirm, what is the light status of your nest Camera? Try resetting it to the factory default. Also, share your case ID here so that we can take a closer look at what happened.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson

No I haven't. My camera light is on but as I understand removing the camera from the home should reset it.
Case ID [7-3318000034784] but I have been given other case ID's as had numerous contacts with Google

Hey Robdoc,
Thanks for sharing the Case ID. Have you tried connecting the Nest Camera to a laptop and set it up on the https://goo.gle/2qjvVSU? If not here is a link on how to set up your camera on a computer.
I look forward to your response.
Best,
Edmond
