Coating peeling of Nest Doorbell

WhiteCastle

I have a Nest Doorbell (Wired) that the coating is peeling off after just under 2 years.  I have been chatting with support with no assistance other than sorry it’s out of warranty.  I have read many posts of other users with the same issue.  I feel that the right thing to do is to replace the doorbell as it seems to be a product defect rather than telling me to buy a new one.  Anyone want to help in this matter?

I chatted with them about 3 months after my doorbell started peeling bad.  They RMA’ed it- but it wasn’t closer to 2 years.  Persistence maybe of a bad product?  It’s not like you’re doing anything to cause the peeling - that’s a manufacturing defect if it doesn’t last a few years without peeling and you need to call them out on it.
