Combining nest and Google home

T_Drade

Have a neat account with doorbell and a few drop cams.  Just added a new one and made me set up a Google home account.  Now new camera is on Google and others are on Nest.  When I try to migrate nest to google it says I already have linked and need to choose a new account.  Suggestions.  (I wished shot just worked like Apple.  😉

Since you used your Google Account to set up your new Google Nest camera in the Google Home app BEFORE you migrated your existing Nest Account, that Google Account is already being used for Nest and Google Nest won't let you migrate to it. The only good option Google Nest gives you is to log onto the Google Nest app using your old username and password, remove your doorbell and drop cams, sign out of the Google Nest app, then log back in using Sign in with Google using your Google Account, and reinstall your devices. See the link below:

If you use the other option listed in the link (to create a new Google Account, you'll be stuck having to use two Google Accounts for your cameras.
