Doorbell Sound and Motion detection

Has anyone else had issues with your doorbell recording motion and sound even though you have it toggled off? I’ve tried everything and can’t seem to fix the issue. I only want it to record when a person is detected and my feed is full of sound and motion recordings. It’s driving me nuts. Help! 🙂

It depends on which doorbell or camera you have. If you have an older Google Nest doorbell or camera that works in the Google Nest app, you can turn off notifications, but the events are still recorded and flagged, but you can use the filter function to filter out events you don't want to see.

However, if you have a newer Google Nest doorbell or camera that works ONLY in the Google Home app, you separately turn recording of certain events on and off, and then separately turn notifications on and off for those events.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was such an easy fix, I can’t believe I missed it. 🤦🏼‍♀️
