Connecting one gen 1 nest doorbell and one gen 3 nest doorbell to the same chime?

Hi,

I previously had 2 Nest Hello gen one doorbells.  I have just purchased a new wired gen 3 doorbell for my main entrance.  Is there a diagram that shows wiring one gen 1 and one gen 3 doorbell to the same chime?

The chime has 3 terminals.  Front, Transformer and Rear.

Thanks!

Stefan

Hi @stefhelm,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I understand you are looking for a wiring diagram to connect both your Nest Doorbell (1st gen) and Nest Doorbell (3rd gen) to the same chime, and I am happy to share the necessary information.

Our official guide provides the diagrams for multiple doorbell connections. Please refer to this article: Upgrade your transformer for Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen or 3rd gen).

Important: To ensure proper and safe installation, we strongly recommend contacting a licensed electrician to install the correct transformer for you.

Feel free to keep posting if you have more questions.

Regards,

Gabriela

Thank you.  I actually have it connected now.

The issue with the diagrams you shared is they all show the newer style chime connection with only two wires.  The old first generation connector had four wires.  So what I was looking for was a diagram that showed one old style four wires connector and one new style two wire connector all connected to the same chime.
