Control Nest Camera from Nest Hub

ShoHina

I have a Nest Hub and a nest camera (wired -- indoor). I can turn the camera on and off from the app on my phone, but I cannot seem to control it from the Nest Hub, which does not make sense to me since I purchased the Hub to help me operate these google devices. Am I doing something wrong?

We use our Nest Hubs to monitor our cameras from time to time, and we also watch Hulu and Netflix on our Nest Hub Max. And sometimes we use them for internet queries.

We can't turn any of our cameras or doorbells on or off from our Nest Hubs. Google Nest does not provide such an option.

Thanks for letting me know. That's rough. We brought two nest hubs thinking they could be used to control the Nest camera system, not sure what the point of them is if you cannot control nest products.

Thanks all, and especially MplsCustomer. We are returning the hubs. We got them because they were identified as "hubs" and we thought we could use them to control the nest cameras that we installed on our house, but if we need to go into our phones to turn cameras on and off that is kind of a bummer. The rest of the capabilities of the devices aren't that useful for us. We purchased android tablets instead, which allow us to run the full version of google home.

ShoHina
