Hi everyone,
I've watched all the installation videos but when wiring the Google door bell to the existing wires on the DHT01AN-C system, the battery does not say it's charging and therefore cannot operate the existing chime.
Any ideas if the DHT01AN-C is actually compatible?

Your DHT01AN-C doorbell system would need to meet Google Nest's requirements:

Hi Guys, I've managed to find my multi meter. With the existing doorbell installed I get a reading of 9.8V AC. What's weird is if I reverse the probes I get a reading of 0V. (I thought AC would give same reading)
When I connect the google door bell to the existing wires and measure from the terminals on the back of the door bell, the reading is 8V AC and 0V when I reverse the probes.
However the app still says it is running on battery power

Just to clarify, you are attempting to install your Nest Doorbell (battery) as a wired installation, correct? If so, your doorbell will show an infinity symbol showing it is still charging, but is plugged in as wired. Are you seeing this symbol when you try to install it? Just in case, here is a great article that goes over the installation process if you need a refresher, or a good source of information.
Best regards,
Brad

Hi everyone, after a lot of research, I found that the DHT01AN-C is not compatible with the nest battery door bell. I have replaced the chime and transformer with the Byron 776 and it is now displaying as plugged in and operates the mechanical chime

Hi there,
Awesome! We're glad that replacing your transformer works with your mechanical chime. As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this thread as complete. I'll be locking this thread if we won't hear back from you again in 24 hours. Should that happen, feel free to create a new one if you have more questions or have other concerns in the future.
Cheers,
JT
