I am finding this happening more and more.
Doorbell button pushed.
Get notifications on Google Nest Hub's and Speaker's within a couple of seconds.
But notifications that someone is at the front door via 2 phones can be delayed 10-15 minutes.
Phones are at home on same Wi-Fi network. Both phones get delayed notification at the same time.
Any fix for this or is this a Google server issue?

Hey there,
I just wanted to jump in real fast and thank you for your feedback. There is still no update on a fix, I fully understand how frustrating this is not to have a fix for these delayed alerts.
Please feel free to submit your feedback to us. I've put instructions for feedback below.
If you need anything else, please let me know.
Best Regards,
Brad.

How do you justify that response since you have no data to support it?

Motion or door bell notifications on my nest door bell is ridiculous. Sometimes notifications are delayed by more than 15 minutes which makes it useless. Its not even an year old. Sorry, I want my refund.

16 minute delays. All devices on same wireless network. Google, something is wrong!!!

I'm not sure that Google will address this issue anytime soon. I've read they're migrating their entire ecosystem over to a new format/protocol. The new spec will supposedly improve connectivity with their newer products. Unfortunately, according to what I've read, they'll leave older products like the original nest programable thermostat behind. If those reports are true, then they have no reason to invest in improving their current servers. And, it remains to be seen what other google products will fall by the wayside.

I agree with you. No one from Google is reading these posts for sure. It seems to be users only bitching about the lack of service. There should be some other way to bring it to their notice. Maybe a petition?

Same issue as well, 15-20 min delay that just started happening today. (iPhone 13pro)

I’m having the same issue with all of my Nest Outdoor IQ cameras. Why hasn’t there been a proper response from Google regarding this problem? You miss a payment by a day and all hell breaks loose, but the security of your home is put in peril and no one cares. This is not the service I pay for -getting a delayed response of over 5 or 15 minutes. It is not a joke. FIX IT NOW PLEASE- and stop apologizing.

Posting here to track this issue. Same thing happening here.

Same issue here. Started happening a few weeks ago. So delayed now its pointless to pay for it. I miss Nest

Having notification issues lagging up to 22 minutes. Most notifications are not coming through whatsoever. I see a lot of nest camera users are experiencing same issue. How long has everyone had theirs? Has anyone gotten it resolved?

I'm having the same issues as well. Doorbell notification gets sent right away, all other notifications are delayed. We started noticing as deliveries weren't being notified when the delivery person didn't ring the doorbell. Took a good 10-15 minutes before the notification was sent, more than enough time for a porch pirate to take the package.

I had several Doorbell notifications delayed 6 HOURS today! This never happened before Google took over Nest. With that kind of delay, what is the point of the service??
11-16-2021 07:36 AM
I've just received a notification from 9:20PM yesterday. It is currently 7:34AM the following day.
This isn't just ridiculous. It's insulting.

do you folks have the new version? I have the previous gen of Nest door bell, the phone notification delay has always been there. At some point Google told me that because of the face recognition, etc. that go through all services behind the scene, but I don't buy that because Nest home prompts are rather realtime.
I was wondering if the new version helps but I guess not. I wonder if anyone has exp w other doorbell.

I have one of each. The wired Nest Hello has the delays. Sometimes up to 5 minutes or more for us. It’s barely usable. The new battery powered Nest Doorbell has instant notifications. Literally I’m walking by it and I feel the notification buzz on my phone in real time. Both are on Nest Aware subscription with facial recognition. I really don’t understand how this could be anything but a server side issue on Google/Nest side. I migrated my Nest account to Google but the delays existed before the migration.

I was thinking if I should change to the new version, so you think it’s worth it?
11-20-2021 09:27 AM
I really want continuous recording in the location where the older one is otherwise I would probably swap it out for the battery version. I’m hoping the notification delay can be fixed

So mine is the new battery version and delay makes it unusable. Most times someone presses the button I get the notification after they're gone.
I previously had a ring doorbell for years and it always worked perfectly, only upgraded to nest doorbell because it works with my existing nest displays. Seriously contemplating putting the ring doorbell back up though

Very Delayed notifications sometimes none at all, we have got
GOOGLE NEST DOORBELL (BATTERY) WIRELESS SMART VIDEO DOORBELL
11-20-2021 03:23 PM
My response time is about a minute; certainly, less than most have experienced. Still, it's too slow for normal, "answering the door" activities. The ability to communicate with whoever is at the door is only useful if the reaction time is 10-15 seconds. I'm beginning to think that this is beyond Google's technical abilities to accomplish.
11-20-2021 05:19 PM
It's amazing we all have the same complaints for a service we pay for that doesn't work right. Can you refund the monthly subscription until you fix it or just refund the nest and I'll try the ring? Those things seems to work. I've been a Google customer since the beginning.
11-20-2021 05:26 PM
Am I reading it correctly that both wired and wireless version have the 10-15 sec delay problem?
11-20-2021 05:28 PM
That's been my experience. I have a wired model. Hooked up to 5Ghz mesh internet at 489kbps down.
11-20-2021 05:27 PM
As I said previously, Google is trying to migrate most of its devices to a new platform, so they have absolutely no reason to divert resources to making existing tech "work right." I'm considering going to a ring and selling the Gdoorbell on Ebay...

Same issue for months now but today I got a notification on my Nest HUB/Mini that someone was at door, I went and got the parcel then a few minutes later my android phone told me someone is at the door.

New nest wired doorbell, i too am getting extremely delayed notifications sometimes 10+ minutes. This has been going on since I installed it about 2 weeks ago roughly.

I am wondering if this issue has to with the ISPs. How many of us has FIOS? I seem to get responses faster when I am outside the house.
11-24-2021 10:17 PM
I can say with certainty that this is not my issue. My old Ring device worked perfectly, was only after swapping to Nest that I started having issues.

Same but different - I have multiple IoT services streaming through my home's inet connection; none of them are experiencing this sort of delayed notification effect.
Laundry machines, home security NVRs, Smart Home IoT ... zero problem accessing these services on home inet or away, zero problem receiving timely notifications.
100% a google issue that google has completely dropped the ball on. What an embarrassing time to work at google.

I am in the UK and have 1Gb/s from Virgin Media, my speeds are fine on all other types of downloads but even the video clips I made/saved via the Window NEST App fail to download from Google server at times.
