For over a year our family has had multiple google nest battery cams and they are the worse things ever to be sold as security cameras they just do not work. Worse item I've spent money on in my entire life and thats the truth they're a complete rip off. They do not work as advertised at all in any way. Night vision is just non existent and no events record at night even when standing in front of the camera waving your arms around like a person possessed. Wake up sensitivity in the daytime is nearly as bad its hopeless you can dance in front of them and they wont wake up to record an event. Talk to talk is so delayed its unusable. The associated google home app needed to run the cameras is constantly faulty and nearly always unusable. If the cams ever do send an alert which is rare as they dont ever wake up it can be hours after the event. Subscription i was told is a must but its expensive and the cameras are basically unusable with or without subscribing it makes no difference. The battery drains quickly you're always recharging them even though they record very little or most times nothing at all as they dont wake up. Footage is grainy and the sound is horrible. These cameras are absolutely pathetic an utter travesty of the worse proportions nothing is good about them at all. Google support if it can be called that constantly ask the same questions over and again without any results at all. Yes my wifi is 2.4ghz and all the cams have a strong signal. Yes yes yes and no no no to all the repeated ridiculous questions that google support ask in a hope to deflect from their faulty producrt.
Goigke just own up to the fact you are selling and have sold a completely inferior product. Own up to the fact your software engineers can't make a decent app there's a plethora of complaints on each and every google app on the play store. Own up to the fact you have completely ripped consumers off with a faulty product that because of the cheap components and inept software engineers the cameras will never be of real use as a security camera. Just own up to the fact the plethora of issues are your fault and not the consumers because you did not do enough real life developement research before rushing ahead of yourselves and releasing a totally inferior product to the market. Theres nothing good about google nest battery cams at all simply nothing.
