Don't have doorbell options in settings

I'm unable to locate doorbell settings in any app. Where/why/how do I change the chime without that portion?

What doorbell options are you looking for, by the way.  With the 1st gen doorbells, the only option we have is to turn the "Indoor chime" on or off.  Doorbell themes are only available when a holiday is near.

If you go to Settings | Device information, for the doorbell, under "Technical information" does the "Model" indicate it is a doorbell?

Your post indicates you have a "Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2)" in the "Google Home app (Android)", so you should be able to to to Settings (by selecting your doorbell, clicking the three dots in the upper right corner, and then selecting "Settings") in the Google Home app, and then selecting "Doorbell".

Yeah, I've done that but there's no option for doorbell settings.

That's quite odd. Our doorbells are all 1st gen doorbells, so I can't attach a screenshot of the doorbell settings in the Google Home app.

If it were ours, I'd try deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app on your phone. (You don't lose any settings; you just sign back on with the same Google Account.)

If that doesn't work, you could also try turning off the circuit for your doorbell for minute to force it to restart.

If that doesn't resolve it, you could try contacting Support, but they'll probably ask you to perform a "Restart" and a then "Factory Reset" (and subsequent reinstall), as documented here:

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162

To contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Bummer. I've tried reinstalling the home app and it was factory reset a few days ago, neither charged anything. So odd

Right now I'm trying to get it to chime in the house. It was working when we moved in but doesn't seem to be after I reset it to add to my app.

Sorry don't know why I keep hitting recommend instead of reply 🤦‍

Yes, it sure does.

@Mcfattykinns

Maybe you should try contacting Support, and tell them you've already done a factory reset and reinstall.

Will do, thanks for trying!
