Hello,
We just bought a Nest Doorbell (battery) and also a Nest 2nd Gen Speaker to act as a doorbell chime to give notifications when someone is at the door.
having set it all up and tested a few times, the speaker has about an 8-10sec delay from the time someone presses the doorbell to getting the speaker to say someone is at the door.
I think it defeats the purpose of having a doorbell and a speaker. It’s pretty useless.
Any troubleshooting fixes out there other than your usual restart, disconnect, and reconnect solutions?
Thanks

Not sure but mine is around 5-6 secs delay, wish it was immediate - is it immediate for anyone else?

Same here - around 5s before the 1st Nest speaker plays the chime sound and up to 8s for the slowest Nest speaker.

Yes, Please can you ask what Google expect the notification experience to be. I can understand there are a lot of variables but in ideal network conditions? Is it like 3 seconds? Less, more?

Thanks Brad, no need anymore. I have returned all Google Echo System Products - I have found other brands to be much more responsive with a maximum lag of 1 second. It’s a shame, this was not possible with Google.
