Have a Gen 2 wired doorbell, on first setup and use, without motion or doorbell press the steady state of the white led ring is off.
After a first power cycle of the doorbell the white ring stays on always and will flash for motion and spin for doorbell press as normal.
All other functions works expected.
This seems like a bug, have reset the device and remove readded with same behaviour.
Is there a setting availabe to control the white ring led steady/no events behaviour?

Hey there,
Thanks for bringing up the concern you're having. I'd love to look into this for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This might be helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

I have performed a normal and factory reset. Removed and relined to different homes.
On further observation the always on white led ring appears to only turn on after ambient light drops (i think). Interestingly it is not tied to the night vision turning on.
In the morning the always on white ring led turns off. Although this function may be helpful for some I would prefer a setting to manage this behaviour.
All other functions are operating as expected.
