Doorbell battery and Google assistant enabled third party speakers

Would the doorbell battery version be able to do announcements or ringing on a Google Assistant enabled third party speaker?

Like many, I had the late realisation that the device does not work with a standard UK wired doorbell ringer. So I am looking for an alternative that is easier on my wallet.

While we can’t recommend third party devices as they may or may not work. Have a look at this guide and let me know if you have more questions in mind: Set up your Google Nest or Home speaker or display.

I am sorted for now. Thanks.

It turned out that my wired doorbell had a faulty relay contact. My preferred option was the wired doorbell, and that is now working.
