Doorbell (battery) not ringing phone

Someone please help me!!! I have read every blog, and online help. I've checked all the settings, but my Google Nest Battery operated doorbell will not ring on my android Samsung Ultra S22 phone. Even bought a brand new one, and started all over, and it still doesn't work.  It used to have an annoying five second delay but now it doesn't even chime at all. Camera works, microphone works, motion detection works. But I bought it as a doorbell, and the doorbell doesn't work. HELP!

If you have "Push notifications" enabled for your battery doorbell, you should get a standard notification on you phone when the doorbell is pressed. There is no option to "ring" your phone.
