Doorbell camera not working.

Could anyone tell me why my doorbell camera will not charge? It is less than two weeks old. No power at all, no lights coming on when I place it on the charger. It’s not the cord it will work on another device.

@Ashleydj123

Since Google Nest does not sell the "compatible 7.5W AC adapter" that is needed for the battery doorbell and that it says is "sold separately", what are you using to charge your battery doorbell?

I received a charger when I placed the order. I don’t really know the name of it but it looks like a C type charger. It’s not the charger because the charger worked on another device.

I'm going to bow out of this discussion, then. The Google Store says they don't provide a charger, so I don't know what you have or what might be going on.

Hi Ashleydj123,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let's sort this out.

Where did you buy your Nest Doorbell? Have you checked if the charging port of your Nest Doorbell has any possible dirt built up? If yes, you can use a dry cotton swab to clean off the Nest Doorbell charging port. Also, please try to use another type C charger to charge your Nest Doorbell, even though its own charger works with your other devices, just for us to isolate the case.

I'll look forward to your response.

I appreciate your help, @MplsCustomer.

Best,

Zoe
