Doorbell losing power

Heisenbert

Hi

sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I have had to fit a new transformer for my doorbell. It is wired in and all works but then after about 8 hours the power to it cuts out and the boor bell doesn’t work.  I take wires out and re fit them and we’re working fine again for approx the same (8 hours or so).
Does anyone have an answer please??

thanks

Well, if your doorbell worked with the previous transformer and does not work with the new transformer, it would seem like it's due to SOMETHING with the new transformer.

Is your transformer compatible? As with many other customers, we upgraded our transformer from 16 V 10 VA to 16 V 30 VA a couple of years ago because 10 VA was insufficient even though it meets minimum requirements.

Hi. Yes I have replaced with the exact same one as was previously installed. It has worked since day 1 so no need to doubt it

As mentioned, I have put it down to a faulty transformer. Put the old one back on and it works fine. Going to buy a different transformer in future
thanks
