We moved and are taking over a previous owners nest security. They have a 2nd gen wired doorbell. I’m trying to remove it to do a factory reset, but there is no pinhole at the bottom to release it, and no hex screw. Any ideas?

the previous owner said they had the doorbell installed by an electrician. Is it possible that it will reset when we reset the rest of the security cameras and get them up and running?

I think i see a slot at the top of the doorbell. Try a flathead screwdriver. Insert the tool or screwdriver into the hole at the top of the doorbell, then pull the doorbell up and away from the wall.

Hi LFG,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having inconveniences removing the Nest doorbell. I’m here to help!
I appreciate the pictures you've provided. Since you've already tried the hex screw method, I recommend using the unlock tool. For reference, you can see this video: How To Install Your Battery-Powered Nest Doorbell Wire-Free.
Regarding your question about resetting the doorbell by resetting other cameras, unfortunately, that's not currently possible. In this case, you may need to perform a factory reset on the Nest doorbell itself to add it to a new account.
I also appreciate chiming in, @JillG.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Jenniffer
