Doorbell speaker

When I speak through the doorbell speaker, it cannot be heard.  I checked the device settings in my phone and the doorbell speaker is on and the volume is set at the highest setting.  What's even more odd is that when I watch a recorded video from an attempted speaking session, the voice can be heard in the recording but not in real time.

 

Can anyone help?

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries; we'll check this out. Just a few questions: Have you tried using a different phone if it’s having the same issue? Are you using an Android or iOS phone? Have you checked your phone settings to see if microphone permissions are enabled on the Google Home or Nest apps?

Same issue occurs when using different phones.

IOS phones.

Microphone permissions are enabled.

Hi there,

Thanks for the information. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the doorbell and reinstalling it in the app? Here is a link on how to restart or factory reset a Nest camera or doorbell.

I have the same problem. You find visitors come right close to the doorbell so they can hear you speak.
