Hello all. I have scoured the help pages, made no less than 15 attempts to fix this issue. I am a tech savvy guy, so this is too frustrating.
My nest doorbell (battery) - fully charged - set up process goes fine on Google home, it shows video - then I unplug it (following install specs) and take it to the install location to check video - it all works fine.
Then I click next and put the doorbell in the mount (correctly) - and the **bleep** thing won’t turn on. The app won’t turn it on - the doorbell button won’t turn on. The app cannot locate it. I have done this over and over…
please and thank you in advance for any help!

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest doorbell does not turn on though its battery is fully charged. Have you tried to restart the doorbell to check if the same thing happens? If yes and the the same thing still persists, factory reset your doorbell.

Thank you for your reply! I saw that the unit needed to be “on” to try a factory reset (via the pin on the back) - but since it won’t turn on, I have not tried that. I will try that reset when I get home! Stay tuned
