Hi, we have a wired nest doorbell which is connected to our nest app but it won’t connect to our google home app. We have a nest mini also which is connected to the google home app but the google home app does not locate the doorbell. We have a paid subscription for the nest aware for our doorbell. I’ve tried deleting the apps and reinstalling, setting the door bell back to factory settings but still no luck. Is there anything else I can try to connect it via the app so our nest mini lets us know when someone is at the door? Thanks

That's odd.
How long have you had your Nest Hello doorbell? (Your post says you have a 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell.) Has it never appeared in the Google Home app? Did you migrate from a Nest Account to a Google Account? When did you get your Nest Mini? Was your doorbell missing from the Google Home app when you installed your Nest Mini?
We migrated in 2020, and our Nest Hello doorbells have appeared in the Google Home app ever since we migrated.

You might want to consider contacting Support so they can walk through possibilities with you.
Your circumstances are unusual. You installed a Google Nest Hello Doorbell in July 2023, long after Google Nest quit selling that doorbell. Did you first start using the Google Nest app at that time, or had you used it before? (If you started using the Google Nest app before 2019, then you need to migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account.)
There is one other possibility. Many customers with thermostats installed in the Google Nest app have reported in this forum that they weren't showing up in the Google Home app. Many have fixed the problem with this workaround; maybe it would work for you.
1) In the Google Nest app, create a new, temporary Google Nest "home/structure".
2) Go to that empty Google Nest "home/structure" in the Google Home app and delete it. This apparently forces the two apps to sync, and the thermostat appears in the Google Home app.

If your Google Nest Hello doorbell is installed in the same Google Nest "home/structure" as your Nest Mini AND you are logging onto the Google Nest app and the Google Home app with the same Google Account, then you should also be able to see your Nest Hello doorbell in the Google Home app (though full functionality is still in the Google Nest app). You should also be able to get "Visitor announcements" from your doorbell on your Nest Mini (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451)
If you started using the Google Nest app before Aug. 19, 2019, this means that you need to have migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676).

I only have one gmail account and one home. Both apps show the same home but my nest door bell just won’t show on my google home app. It only shows on my nest app.

We’ve had the best mini since May 2023 and the doorbell since July 2023. So I set the nest mini up first on the google home app and then once the doorbell was fitted (it’s wired) I then set the doorbell up. My brother is an electrician and fitted the door bell as he has one himself and couldn’t understand either as to why the doorbell wouldn’t appear on the google home app. The doorbell has never appeared on the app. I haven’t migrated any accounts as I set them all up with my gmail account.

Hi everyone,
@Laur_30, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Try opening your Nest app> got to Settings> Accounts> check the email address signed in and compare it to your email address on your Google Home app if it's the same. To check your other home structures, from the home page of your Nest app> tap the three lines on the upper left> you'll see the Message and Support in the middle and at the bottom you'll see your home structures. Tell us how many home icons you see there. Next, check the home from your Google Home app and see if there's a drop down option next to your home structure. If you see another home try selecting it to see if there's another Nest device there.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
Emerson

Hi
@EmersonB thank you for your help. I’ve checked all the steps. Same email address is being used on both nest app and google home app. There is only one home icon when I press the three lines on the nest app and there is no other home showing on the google home app for me to select. This is what I find very weird because it seems as though everything is being used on the same account/email address but they’re not connecting.

Is the same Google Nest "home/structure" showing in both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app?
If both apps show the same Google Nest "home/structure", you could try the workaround I suggested a couple of weeks ago. And if that does not work, try contacting Support, using the link and instructions in this post:

Hi folks,
@Laur_30, thanks for getting back to us. Could you also follow the steps provided by MplsCustomer above so we can isolate if this is caused by the doorbell itself, the app, or the internet connection?
Let us know how it goes.
I appreciate your input, @MplsCustomer and Emerson.
Regards,
Zoe

I just tried this process again to see if it’d miraculously work and it did! Thank you so much for your help!
