I posed before but forgot to reply and now it's closed.
We recently installed a wired doorbell but the blue light will not stay on. We ended up buying a new chime as we thought that was the issue but the same thing is happening.
Could it be the transformer? When you press the button on The nest doorbell the chime sometimes rings but it doesn't make the whole sound. Like it hardly goes off. We tried resetting it as well.

Many customers in this forum (including us) have reported they needed to upgrade to a 16V 30VA transformer in order to get their doorbells to work or to chime, even though that's higher than Google Nest's stated minimum (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132).

Put the new transformer in and it is still not holding the power?
Is it possible we got a bad unit?
