Error: Hardwired doorbell goes off-line due empty battery

With all of my other cameras, I have the ability to look at full history while in the Google Home app. Anything between events within my doorbell feed do not exist. When I go to said empty space, I get a message that reads "The device was off-line due to empty battery." How is this possible with a hardwired doorbell?

Hi Srosst,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to help you troubleshoot this inconvenience. To diagnose the issue effectively, I'd like to ask you some probing  questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • How far is your doorbell from your Wi-Fi router?
  • Is your doorbell battery-powered or wired?

I'll be happy to guide you towards the best solution.

Regards,

Manuel

The doorbell is less than 20 ft from where my AT&T fiber enters the house (where the router also is) and it's 10ft from where the Google Home WiFi router is. I believe the issues started a week ago.
the doorbell is hardwired to a router. The system has been in place with no changes since 10/2022

Hi srosst,

Thanks for the information! Based on what you've shared, I recommend performing a factory reset on your camera. After the reset, please check if the message reappears.

For instructions on performing a factory reset please visit Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

I hope this helps!

Regards,

Manuel
