Error: "Couldn't turn on" when trying to "Add Zone" in Nest Cam (Outdoor)

Hi All,

My camera is fine, but the app simply wont let me "Add Zone". I keeping getting the message "Couldn't turn on". I saw a similar post which suggested to have "Video Recording" turn on, which I've already done (I can view the event history).

I've tried restarting / restore to factory settings, nothing works.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. Which app are you trying to use to add a zone? Have you tried the Nest Web App? I would suggest trying the web app if the mobile app isn't working for you.

Hi thanks for the help! I was using Google home app. The issue is resolved , I think it might have been the Wi-Fi connection, placed a Wi-Fi extender and seems to work fine now. Thanks!
