Faded QR code

bruzzt01

Hello,

I have a nest indoor camera that was disconnected from my home network. When I went to reconnect, I was told to scan the QR code or enter a 6 digit key. Both the QR code and 6 digit key are completely faded. I also do not have the original packaging because once I took it out of the box, the box is trash.

How can I reconnect the nest indoor camera to my profile again?

I tried connecting it by USB to my windows computer, but there is no pop-up for installation.

Thank you

I think you need to contact Google Nest Support and ask if you have any recourse. There are posts in this forum from Google Nest Community Specialists saying Support can help you with the QR Code or Setup Code if you can provide the serial number. I don't know what they'll do if you don't even have the serial number.

Hey bruzzt01,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that. If you have a hard time reading your Nest product’s entry key or serial number, take a picture with your phone’s camera. Then open the picture in your photo app and zoom in. Also, check out this link on how to Set up your camera on a computer.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Thanks,

Archie
