False Motion Alerts all the time even when no one is home

Getting false motion alerts every few minutes and if zones are configured get false events for these too. The video image appears to go overexposed and then back to normal. Happens on Outdoor cam and indoor IQ cam no matter what settings I use. They happen more frequently in daylight.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I am terribly sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time with this! I would love to look into this issue further and help find a solution for you. First off, I have some questions I’d like to ask you.

• Do you still need help with this issue?

• What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far? 

• Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

• If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’

Hello Brad. Yes it still doesn't work. 

I have changed every setting imaginable including adding zones, deleting zones, changing the camera resolution, monitored network traffic, changed notifications to people, sounds, movement etc. The system worked great in the beginning, before the takeover of Nest support. I can send you video clips if you like. I'm not sure which device you are referring to restarting but I have recycle power on each camera and the Nest Guard. Nothing changes the behavior.  I have had such a terrible time with support after the takeover that I have not had the stamina to go through another case.  But frankly, having to leave notifications off when we are away defeats the original purpose of having the system altogether.

Hope you can help. (I don't know about factory reset).

O am getting false "person spotted" alerts from my doorbell camera all the time. Is there any way to fix? There are couple flowers on the doorsteps, but they should not be recognized as a person.
