I have 2 nest floodlight cams and a hello. The issues I've had / and having.
1. Nest floodlight detects a person multiple, and I mean over 20 times a day, that isn't there. There isn't even anything moving, no shadows, etc... It's really bad.
2. In the winter, when snowing, camera detects a vehicle. Again no idea other than it only happens during snowfall, and at night, or when its using IR.
I am so disappointed. The 2nd gen or so nest (read actual nest) cameras I have at my other place perform great and still do to this day. I can't be the only one this is happening to.

We have multiple older Google Nest cameras and doorbells, and one battery camera installed outside with the optional power cable. The battery camera is the same camera used in the floodlight camera. We almost never get a false person notification, and when we do, it's some other motion event. We sometimes get false notifications during heavy rainstorms or snowstorms.

Hi everyone,
@Matty64, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Have you tried restarting your Nest Camera and your Wi-Fi network? If your Nest Camera detects a lot of activity in a specific area (for example, a busy sidewalk), you can create a zone and set notifications for activity outside the zone only. If you set notifications for activity outside the zone, it can help when you get too many alerts but don’t want to turn notifications off completely.
Give these steps a try:
Home app
Your Nest Camera won't send you notifications for activity in that zone, but you can still get notifications for activity in other areas in its view.
Hit this link for more information and let us know how it goes.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Emerson

I have tried restarting. The area I'm viewing is a patio and I need the entire zone viewed. I have looked at every false person detection clip and there is generally not even any movement.
The other camera is viewing the driveway, again no need for activity zone, and this one detects cars during snow events.
