Familiar face detection not showing up

I just signed up for the 30 day trial period of the second gen nest doorbell that is supposed to have familiar face detection and it’s not showing up as an option?

I think you SHOULD be able to turn on "Familiar face detection" under Settings | Subscriptions | Nest Aware in the Google Home app (see screen shot below).

However, there is this exception:

"Familiar face alerts are not available on Nest Cams used in Illinois and may not be available on certain Nest Cams in the EU."

I did turn that feature on for the familiar face detection but it’s still not showing up that I have it 🤷‍♀️ thank you for your time. And I don’t live in Illinois

We don't use familiar face detection, but I believe that if you have it turned on, AND if you have people events enabled, then when people events occur, you should get an option asking if you want to add that person to familiar faces.
